Profile: Trevor recreates the magic lantern shows that would have been common in Sussex 120 years ago. His shows are individually tailored to suit each audience and include comic stories, dissolving views, Victorian melodrama, temperance tales, animated hand painted slides (including the famous “man swallowing rats”), religious subjects, Victorian photographs of the south coast and the spectacular chromotropes. He can also talk, if required, about the history of the lantern and lanternists.”
