Meetings
Slides from a set entitled Comical Characters
The Society holds four Quarterly meetings per year. Normally, two meetings are held in London (October and January), one meeting in Birmingham (April) and the Summer meeting in July at a different venue each year. The Summer meeting is usually a very casual affair with a picnic and strawberries and cream.
Each meeting is made up of lectures, shows, a market and provides a great opportunity to meet like-minded people while learning about the lantern or taking the chance to see other people's performance with the lantern. Often there is a talk by someone about their latest researches and investigations.
Attending meetings is one of the Society's major Membership benefits.
Occasionally, a DVD of recent meeting highlights is complied and sent to all members.*
